Looking for meal ideas for toddler
Hi, I am mother to a 22-month-old with cerebral palsy and I am looking for easy meal ideas that she can manage.  She eats solid food, but is particular about textures... her favorites are yogurt, potatoes, beans and eggs.  To comply with the rules, I'll post a recipe that she enjoys a lot:

1/2 of a baked sweet potato
2-3 scoops of baked beans
a splash of half and half
a drop of maple syrup

Puree it all in a food processor, add more cream to get proper consistency.

Thanks in advance!

So she seems to like sweet foods? Have you tried anything savory. I would recommend a yukon gold potato, baked. add some sour cream and black beans and throw it in the food processor . This may not be visually appealing, but the texture and nutritional value will be similar to the recipe you posted.

WOW, I apologize for never responding to this! I didn't have the automatic notification set up to email me when someone commented, and I kind of forgot about this post. Thank you for this suggestion; my daughter's feeding needs have changed but I will definitely file this away if she starts eating by mouth again. Thank you, sounds yummy!

Off the subject - I love that icon with the tiny fist of fingers.

Since yams are naturally sweet, you can make yam sticks (like thick french fries) and just bake them. When cooled enough, she'll like holding them while eating.

Thanks! I don't think she was even a year when we took that pic :)

Thank you for the suggestion with the yam sticks. Her feeding needs have changed and she's only rarely eating by mouth now, and only pureed consistencies. But thank you for the suggestion, and the add!
